Money counters are machines that count your money for you. This can be either bank notes or coins depending on the type of money counter you own. The idea is that you place the coins or notes into the machine, press a button, and the machine will display on screen the amount that is there. Banknote Counters

Bank Grade Banknote Counter - This machine is very similar to the one described above but has the added feature of having several counterfeit detection systems and other features such as variable speeds etc. These are usually found in banks and building societies , foreign exchange offices and other businesses handling large volumes of banknotes. A machine such as this can be found for around £600.

Coin Counting and Sorting Machine – This machine combines sorting the coins and counting them in one. Desktop versions of this machine suitable for processing up to around £2000 per week in coins such as the COU3001 are available from around £200. Heavier duty machines with speeds of 1000 coins per minute and upwards and with advanced foreign coin rejection are available from around £1400.

Simpler versions such as the COU888 are available at a lower price but with the ability to count coins only.
