Coin Counter Features

Coin counters are machines specifically designed to count coins, this may include counting mixed coins, or sorting the coins as well as counting them and so on. All different coin counting machines have different features depending on the type of machine it is, here is a look at some of the different features coin counters have that you can look out for:

Counting Speed – all coin counters have different levels of speed when counting the coins, some are faster than others and it can range from counting 216 coins per minute to 1500 coins per minute.

Counts Mixed Coins – some coin counters are restricted to counting coins of one denomination at a time whereas others enable you to count a whole range of coins all at once. It is an added bonus having a mixed coin counter but for your requirements and business it may not be necessary.

Different Currencies – some coin counters are equipped to count coins of all different currencies such as Euros, cents, British sterling and so on. If your shop or company deals with several different currencies it may be in your best interest to choose a coin counter that stretches to counting more than one currency.

Auto Stop when the Tray is Full – this feature may not sound very important but it enables you to walk out the room while the coin counter is working and not come back to a mass of coins on the floor! The machine will pause temporarily when the tray is full so it won’t overfill out onto the desk or even on to the floor.

Automatic Rejection of Foreign and Damaged Coins – this is a great security feature to have in your coin counter. Coin counters with this feature automatically rejects and will not include any foreign coins or any coins that are badly damaged. This feature would save a business and shop a lot of money as the years go on from not including foreign or damaged coins.
